Born in St. Paul Minnesota, Mr. Corbett was the son of the late John and Gladys (Rose) Corbett.
He was a cook in the Marines and was a 30 year retired Army veteran serving in World War 11, Korean War and Vietnam. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his 3 sons; Michael Silva and his wife Diane of New Bedford, David Corbett of East Wareham and Wallace Corbett, Jr. of East Boston, 2 daughters; Susan Marie Bogenshutz and her husband Steven of New Bedford and Flora Furtado and her husband Daniel of Florida, several grand children and several great grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 9am at ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745 with a funeral mass at 10am at St Joseph-St Therese Church, 51 Duncan Street, New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 5-7pm. Friends and relatives invited. Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
