He was a member of Faith FWB Church and his interests included, fishing, camping, music, and helping others.
He is survived by his mother, Sarah W. Cahoon , one daughter, Alberta Hildenbrand, and one brother, Harry Sutton, all of New Bern; three sisters, Judy DeCamp of Aurora; Sarah Bell and Sandy Ammons, both of New Bern; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Cotten Chapel. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
