Ann was a native of Greenville, Mississippi. She and her husband Dick moved to New Bern from Williamsburg, Virginia in 1987. Shortly thereafter she became a member of Garber United Methodist Church. Ann will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, a homemaker, an accomplished interior decorator, a business owner and gardener. Her gardens were lovingly planned and nurtured. Ann enjoyed watching her roses and other plants grow and it was evident that she had been blessed with a special gift. Her gardens were where she felt closest to her heavenly Father. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two sons, Michael Richard Sprenger and wife, Shelley of Cheney, Washington, and William Lee Sprenger and wife, Joseline of Stokes, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Nikki Falor and husband, Blake of Jamestown, ND, Jessica Ann Sprenger and Michael Richard Sprenger both of Cheney, WA and two great grandchildren.
