She is survived by her sons James C. Townsend (Delores H.) of Dover and William Earl Townsend (Virginia Elizabeth) of New Bern; daughter Teresa Gale Daugherty (James Rodney) of Dover; brother Donnie Patrick Hatsell of Hubert; grandchildren Tanja Armstrong, Brent Lamm, Andrew Lamm and Billy Townsend; and one great-grandchild Sawyer Mae Townsend.
The graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 15 at the Lakeside Chapel, Greenleaf Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by Cotten Funeral Home and Crematory.
