Beatrice A. Wilson

On the morning of Friday, October 27th, 2017, Beatrice A. Wilson, went home to be with the Lord. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and servant of God, Bea was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church where she enjoyed spending time with her church family and had lovingly ministered to those in the nursing home. Prior to moving to North Carolina, she was an active member and Sunday school teacher at the Akron Baptist Temple. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and enjoyed tracing her family history. Bea will be remembered as a kind, sweet, Godly woman who loved her family and enjoyed working with her hands to make quilts and serve others.

Bea is survived by her seven children, Bruce Wilson, Linda Richards, Ernest Wilson, Geraldine Nehrenz, Cathy Wilson, Audrey Wilson, and Rhonda Linger; three sisters, Christine Bolen, Barbara Rusnick, and Cheryl Dozier; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Temple A. Wilson; parents, Ernest and Nettie Newberry; and brother, Joel Newberry.

The family will receive friends just prior to the funeral service from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, October 30th at Calvary Baptist Church. Pastors Bill Wingard and Dwight Williams will officiate the service which will be followed by the burial at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1821 Rhem Avenue, New Bern, NC 28560.
