

Bruce Page Jenkins, age 90, of New Bern, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025. Born and raised on a farm, Bruce developed a strong work ethic and love of Farmall tractors from an early age, which he carried throughout his life as a dedicated welder.
Known for his hardworking nature, Bruce had a passion for practical jokes that brought laughter and joy to those around him. He was resourceful and sensible, always mindful of his finances and never one to waste money. His love for tinkering extended to small engine repair, where he found great satisfaction in piddling and fixing things.
Bruce was a devoted father who cherished the time spent with his daughters. He ensured they had a fun and adventurous childhood, creating lasting memories by building go-carts, a skating rink, and a jungle gym for them to enjoy. His commitment to family and his playful spirit will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Elitha; daughters, Teresa and Cathy; sisters, Mary, Annie, Doris, Gladys, Peggy, Nina Mae, Edith and Hazel and brother, Christopher. He is survived by his daughter, Evelyn Mayo and her husband, Paul DuBois, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one nephew and several nieces.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Cotten Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, laughter, and love. Bruce will be greatly missed by his family and friends, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
