Carl Wellington

He was a member of the West of New Bern Volunteer Fire Department and an Elder of First Presbyterian Church. He was very involved in the New Bern Babe Ruth League and was an Assistant Scout Leader for Troop #132. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Nathan Wellington and maternal grandmother, Odell Lucy Wellington.

Carl is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debbie Wellington; mother, Ethleen Brown Larkin; sons, Jason Bryant Wellington and wife, Laura Whaley of Wilmington and Patrick Brock Wellington and wife, Theresa Ann of Charlotte; sister, Michelle Whitfield and husband, Dwayne of LaGrange and grandchildren, Charles Nathan Wellington and Elizabeth Lillian Wellington.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Cotten Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
