I'm sorry to hear about Claudia's passing.  I remember her from her childhood and adolescence at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church.  It is a small church and all the kids knew each other pretty well as a result.  Please pass along my condolences to her mom.  I don't think I ever knew she was adopted.  As it happens, I became a mother through adoption myself, so that particularly touches my heart.

I am so sad to hear of Claudia's passing. She and I shared a lot of high school classes & band together. Kemmy, I am truly sorry for your loss. Can you please pass my sincere condolences to Dot.

Claudia, what a special person, and a sweet sister-in-law (sister).  I will never forget the day Kemmy brought her home to the house to talk with Mom and Dad about them getting married.  Claudia, just kept saying yes sir, no sir, she was so shy. However that changed, and boy she had a great silly side about her. She fit in well with our family, and it was aways fun to watch her joke with dad. We, as a family, have many wonderful memories of visiting the whole family in North Carolina. I'm very happy that we had this past July with Claudia, Kemmy and Timmy at Spruce Pine N.C. I thank the Lord for the memories.  God Bless Claudia, and be with Kemmy and Timmy. Kemmy and Timothy, I was so sad when I heard of Claudia's passing. I had Timothy in the Infant room at the daycare in Havelock. I used to go to your home when you lived in Havelock. I thought of you guys often over the years. I will always remember her happy smile. She was one of the sweetest people. Somehow I bet she is making heaven a little brighter.

I am so thankful to have been a part of Claudia's life. She was a true wife, Mother, and friend. God blessed us all by sharing her for 55 years. She touched so many lives and had a grace about her that lit up a room whenever she entered. Kemmy and Timmy hold on to the memories to help you through the sadness. I was so heartbroken when I received the news that Mrs. Claudia had passed. She was one of mom's closest friends. Mom always spoke of how Claudia and Kemmy were a blessing to work with. Claudia was an angel to our mom when she was sick until Mom passed. I imagine Mom welcomed Claudia into Heaven with arms wide open! Special prayers sent out for Kemmy and Tim.

     About 31 years ago, I met a young bride who came to visit at our home.   She was to be introduced to our family by her husband (who felt it important for her to meet Aunt Mary).  During this meeting I knew I had met a true friend in Claudia.  Shortly thereafter I learned to love her like a sister.  
     To this day I can still hear the voices of my parents remarking about what a wonderful person that Claudia was and how thankful they were that Kemmy had her for his wife.  
     Claudia will always hold a special place in my heart and we all will miss her dearly.  It is our hope and prayer that God will grant you comfort in your time of loss and know that you can lean on your family and friends.

I knew Claudia from FRC East. She was competent, good at explaining funding issues to those with intermittent requirements and extremely patient with last-minute rushes. Her co-workers are a living testimony to her willingness to pass on her knowledge and experience.

Claudia was a giving, kind hearted, courageous, and wonderful person. She made everyone who worked around her happy and was always willing to share her knowledge with others. She will be missed by all she touched.
