He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Letha Hunnings and six sisters and four brothers.
Knot is survived by his wife Jean S. Hunnings, three daughters, Vicky “Pris-Ann” Broadway and husband Michael of Vanceboro, NC; Tracy Gatlin of New Bern, NC; Wendy Coombs and husband Jimmy of Vanceboro, NC; and six grandchildren, Katie, Tamara, Melanie, Justin, Samantha and Cody.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Cotten Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
