He worked for the Telephone Company for 28 years and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving is his wife, Evelyn Bakker; children, Jeff, Karen and Ruth; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11:00am Monday, September 3, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at the church.
