Darrell "D. B." Matthews, 76, born September 2, 1939, to Maggie and James Matthews in Charleston, WV, passed away June 6, 2016.He is survived by his wife, Christine, a sister, Doris Donovan (Charlie), daughter, Kimberly Lulei (Chuck), granddaughters, Michelle and Whitney, nephew, Scott Donovan, stepson, Jeff Herring, sisters-in-law, Ann Small (Edward) and Jean Grimes (Elmer), and a brother-in-law, Fred Johnson (Ann)."D.B" was preceded in death by his father and mother, James & Maggie Matthews, step-mother, Ester Matthews, step-father, Denver Raines, sister Carol Colvard, son, Brad Matthews, step-daughter, Janice Cichy.D.B was a beloved husband and father, who thoroughly enjoyed playing golf with his friends. He worked at Union Carbide and Frit Car, and was the past president of Mens Auxillary at VFW Post 2514.A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Cotten Funeral Home.
