SGT. Miller was employed, and has been with the Craven Co. Sheriff’s Office at the Detention Center for 12 years. He was extremely proud of his recent promotion, and was eager to rise to the challenge. David was delighted with all of his children’s accomplishments.
David is survived by his beautiful wife Theresa Jones Miller; four children Melissa Kate Jones, Kelsey Louise Miller, Morgan Elizabeth Miller, and James Ryan Jones; Mother Doris Jean Murphy Malpass; Father Calvin Ellis Malpass Jr; Paternal Grandmother Eula B. Malpass; Two Brothers Gary Lynn Malpass and Scotty Allen Glass; Three Sisters Crystal Robin Holland, Michelle Malpass Knipe, and Christina Malpass Coombs.
Service will be held Wednesday February 18, 2015 at 7 PM at Cotten Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Craven Co. Sheriff’s Office will be in charge of officiating the service and rendering honors.
