Donald Edward McEwen III

Donnie was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and hiking. He also enjoyed listening to music and playing guitar. He will be fondly remembered for his love of family and great sense of humor.

Donnie is survived by his beloved wife, Rhiannon S. McEwen, of the home, son Donald "DJ" Edward McEwen IV of Dunn, daughter Megan B. McEwen of Kinston, daughter Olivia G. McEwen of Stratford, CT, granddaughter Lillith “Lilly” McEwen of Dunn stepdaughter Aslyn “Azzie” Simpson and stepson Corbin Simpson of the home. He is also survived by his mother, Holly Lucas of New Bern, sisters Jenni Conner (Danny) of Kinston, and Michelle S. Perez of Vanceboro, brother, Allen R. Lavoie (Tanya) of Maysville, and Aunt Patricia M. Rhoten (Jim) of Springfield, OR. Donnie also leaves behind many special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mason Everette McEwen, his father, Donald Edward McEwen II, grandparents, Don and Margaret McEwen and Ed and Phyllis Johnson and niece Anna M. Stevenson.

A private service will be held at a later date.
