Duncan is preceded in death by his beloved wife Janice Heatherly, and his son, Christopher Winfield.
He is survived by his son Daniel Winfield of James City, daughter, Jill White (Steve) of Lake Lure, NC, grandchildren, Jamie Winfield, Anna Winfield, Christopher Winfield.
He served his country faithfully in the United States Airforce. He spent his working career in Facility Maintenance at MCAS Cherry Point for over 30 years. After retirement he still did painting in his spare time. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball for Neuse Forrest Church for many years. He also enjoyed golf, and the music of Waylon Jennings.
A celebration of life will be held at the families home at a later date.
