

Dylan Bryce Quick, 19, of New Bern, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital in Greenville, NC. Dylan was surrounded by a large gathering of family and close friends.
Known for his iconic smile and loving nature, Dylan is a New Bern High School graduate (Class of 2018) and was an extremely creative artist. He enjoyed hanging out with his girlfriend and his cousins, playing basketball with the River Bend Ballers (RBB), listening to music, spending time at the beach, and playing video games.
Dylan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas Russell Tripp, and uncles, Albert Farmer and Brad Smith.
He is survived by his mother, Tammy Quick; father Gary Quick; brother, Brandon Quick, and girlfriend, Jillian Ciampi; grandparents Donna Quick of Highland, NY; Robert Quick of Accord, NY; and Amelia McKinney (Andy) of New Bern, NC; 14 aunts and uncles, Angela Farmer of New Bern, NC; Michelle Ricci (Duffy Hancock) of New Bern, NC; Bridgette Jarvis of New Bern, NC; Rusty Tripp of New Bern, NC; Johnny Tripp (Casey) of New Bern, NC; Matthew Quick (Jennifer) of Cameron, NC; Ryan Quick (Michelle) of Navarre, FL; Lisa Quick of Rosendale, NY; and Kenneth Palazzo (Jamie) of Newburgh, NY; and 30 cousins, Brittany Farmer (Aaron Maldonado) and Maya Maldonado; Cameron and Tamara Crary; Brad Smith; Braxten and Kendrick Best; Taylor, Tyler, Samantha, Talon, and Bryson Tripp; Antonio and Christiana Ricci; Caleb, Brayden, and Zoey Tripp; Zachary Barger (Kesada) and Austin Quick; Caleb and Audrey Quick; Jaiden and Jaela Marshall; Abigail, Aiden, and Arbor Palazzo; and Hailey and Taylor Smith.
Services will be held at Latitude Church, 1732 Racetrack Rd, New Bern, NC on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm followed by reception at Batten’s Barn in New Bern.
The family has established ‘The Dylan Quick Foundation’ for memorial contributions. Donations can be made through Dylan Quick’s GoFundMe at www.gofundme.com/dylan-quick. The Dylan Quick Foundation will focus efforts endowing scholarships in the continued attempt to eradicate childhood cancer and supporting children of the law enforcement and military veteran communities—Dylan was proud that his father held memberships in both.
