Never forget the day we met. We just moved to Turkey Quarter. Me and dad where outside and you pulled up so happy to see me. So ready to be friends from the start. You where the true definition of what it means to be a best friend. I love you more than words can explain. And until we met again I will be missing you. 

I had only known Liz for 5 years.  The first time I met her I knew I wanted her to be my stylist.  She had that air about her and the spunky quality that I knew would fit me.  I started going to her right after she had opened The Hairapist and never looked back.  She was more than just someone that did my hair she was a friend.   

I'm going to miss your zest and passion for life.  Having a bad day... Talk to Liz...get your hair done and you feel 900 times better. My family and I will never forget you.  You are one of the most caring, genuine and talented people we have ever met.  How proud you were of your daughter and the relationship you shared with your family and friends. You were always there to help and make the world a better place. Because of your life and your memory it truly is. 

Life will never be the same without you. I see you everywhere in my daily life. Being a part of your life made me a better person everyday. You're ambition & drive was something you don't see much of & your beautiful smile could light up a room. I'll never ever forget the life we had together & every single moment we shared throughout our 5yrs together. 

This is a sad day. I took care of Liz when her mother was taking  classes at college. She was sunshine in my life over 30 years ago. I have been gone from New Bern for 22 years, but I still think about the joy she gave to life. I remember she didn't like the toe seams in her socks. She was adamant about wearing them inside out. I called her "Lizard." It wasn't her favorite nickname, but her grimaces were often followed with precious little girl giggles! My heart is with you all. I went to her to cut my hair and she always made me laugh. Liz had a heart of gold and was a wonderful person. Liz always made my day a girl's day out for my girlfriend and I. Liz will be missed by my all who knew her.

I started getting my hair cut when Liz worked for another salon and when she opened her own shop I followed her and would have done so if she had moved somewhere else.  She could do my hair once or twice a year and every time it was like I had just been there the week before and we would pickup where we left off.  All I had to do was text her and she would schedule me and my husband for our cuts.  She always asked about my kids.  She had been through some rough patches but she was happier then I had ever seen her.  I'm so glad she found that happiness in the end.  I will miss you until we meet again,  Lori and Gregg Hammond

It was always a treat to visit Liz for a hair appointment. She was so funny and extremely talented. She’d ask me what I wanted done to my hair and I’d say whatever you think would look good because I trusted her and valued her opinion.  She never let me down. I loved her stories about all the work she had done on her house. It was obvious how much she loved her family too. I’ll never forget how accommodating she was when my daughter was sick and almost passed out in her chair. You were a special person and will be missed by so many. Go rest high on that mountain now, you’re work here is done. God bless the family.

Beautiful Liz, you made me feel so new with the awesome work you created with my hair. I’ve only known you for a short time but you were always so darn sweet, funny & full of laughs. Thank you for sharing your blessings and for entering my life, I will never forget your beautiful spirit.

I have known you since we were teenagers.  Always had that blonde hair and pretty smile. I can’t remember exactly how I ended up coming to you for my hair but I am glad I did.  Even if it was only once or twice a year 🤣. Which you picked on me about. But what I want your family to know and carry on… you could go months without seeing someone but carry on a conversation like you never skipped a beat. You loved hard. You were honest.  Brutally sometimes! But you never, ever judged. You talked to me and you always knew how to make me laugh. It speaks volumes when you know someone who doesn’t judge. You just loved. Prayers for you and your family. You will be missed! 💗

You are the best you were and you still are in my mind this was such a shock everybody that knew you me just what kind of a special person u were I am proud to have been your friend n client. I will b lost with out girl. Rest on baby u did your hard work 💪love u Liz 💓

A beautiful lady inside and out, as was her mother, as is her daughter.  I have worked with Liz for 17 years and seen her  grow in her business and personal life. 
Her proudest moment was becoming a mother.  Her second proudest moment was opening her own Salon, her hard work and skill in the hair industry paid off.
Special people leave a long lasting happy memory, and she will!!

Liz was one of those rare souls who comes into your life making it better being gorgeous both inside and out. She was generous, kind and smart. A trip to her chair for a haircut was such a treat. You left looking and feeling better not just by her skill, but because of her personality. She made everyone feel special and valued. It was evident that she loved doing what she was doing, and loved and valued her family most of all.  Listening to her talk about her beautiful daughter, her joy as a mom was so evident. Prayers, heartfelt condolences and love to her family. I am so thankful I walked in her shop 5 years ago, so very heartbroken this bright light has left us.
