Erma Willis Powers

She was the loving wife of Raymond Powers, who preceded her in death on September 4, 1998.

She is survived by two children, Patricia P. Williams of Tucson, AZ and Richard R. Powers of New Bern, her son-in-law U. S. Public Health Service CAPT Donald B. Williams Jr. of Tucson, AZ and daughter in law Breth Howerin Powers of New Bern and her grandchildren Cody B. Williams and wife Sadie Enright of Logan, Utah, Lindsay Williams of Portland, Oregon and two great-grandchildren, Grace and Aoife Williams.

A viewing will be held Sunday at Cotten Funeral home at 11 AM followed by memorial service and burial at Greenleaf Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Powers’ home, 120 Seventh Street, New Bern, NC.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who taught all of her family the meaning of a life well spent. She and her husband had a great love and appreciation for the Neuse River as well as organizations that benefit children.
