Cotten Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and friends of Gertrud GustafsonGertrud Gustafson passed away on Sept 21, 2023. Gertrud Kaiser was born Jan 13, 1937, to Amanda and Wilhelm Kaiser in Germany.
Gertrud married Arthur Roland Gustafson and is survived by their three sons, Harold and his wife Debra, Albert and his wife Deborah, and Peter his wife Rebecca; her sisters Ursula Yeager, Erika Neeb and Bettina Kaiser; four grandchildren, Alisia Gustafson Fornarotto, David Gustafson, Amanda Gustafson and Kari Gustafson; and her four great grandchildren, Lillian Dykstra, Cameron Fornarotto, Josephina Fornarotto, and Olsen Gustafson.
Gertrud was an active member and volunteer at the Fayetteville VFW. She was well known for her cooking, and her Potato Salad was always in demand by the members there.
A service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Fort Liberty Post Cemetery in Fort Liberty, NC. Following the service, Gertrud will be laid to rest with her husband Arthur.
