Grace Mann Vandiford

We lost a beautiful soul, the heart of our family, Grace Elizabeth Mann Vandiford who went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, November 6, 2016 at the age of 88. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and "Mama Grace" to many. A woman of great faith, she was a member of Saint's Delight O.F.W.B. Church.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 9th at Cotten Funeral Home with Pastors Kenneth Dixon and Mike Williams officiating. Burial will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Vandiford was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph David Vandiford, Jr.; sisters, Virginia Horne and Dorothy Brown; brothers, Tommy Mann and Lonnie Mann, Jr.; and grandson, David Theodore Stewart.

She is survived by her five children, Phillip Wayne Vandiford, Tahitia Vandiford Stewart, Judy Vandiford Whaley and husband Joe, Joseph David Vandiford, III, and Lorie Vandiford Gaskins and husband Gabby; grandchildren, Taylor Vandiford, Nicole Vandiford, Brian Stewart and wife Stacy, LeeAnn Stewart, Jennifer Gaskins and husband Dalton, Jody Whaley, Heather Vandiford, Tanner Vandiford, Anna Hobbes and husband James, and Emilie Oldham; great grandchildren, Grace Gaskins, Dawson Gaskins, Rachel Randolph, Rebekah Randolph, and Gianna Norcia; brother-in-law, Gene Vandiford and wife Belinda; and sister-in-law, Janice Mann.

The family will receive friends just prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 9th at Cotten Funeral Home and other times at the home of Joe and Judy Whaley, 640 Half Moon Road, New Bern.
