Gwynne Celeste Young

Gwynne was a creative spirit who loved to make things new again. She enjoyed yard sales, thrifting, and refinishing furniture. She also liked to spend time in her garden. Gwynne will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Thankful for her life and continuing in her memory are her children Pauline Johnson, Selina Conrad, and Ella Gayda, grandchildren Clint Hill, Kathy Stewart, David Carvalho, Kelly Ashe, Jordan Kearns, Jon Wagnon, and Cassidy Crotty, many great grandchildren, brothers Jeff and Howard Gerhoff, and sisters Margo Hughes and Alexis Lee.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Louis Mothersbaugh and her daughter Katherine Crotty.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Gwynne's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.

A committal service will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico, located at 18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172, on January 6, 2026, starting at 12:30 pm.
