Hank was a man of strong character and steady determination, qualities he proudly attributed to his German heritage. He believed in doing things the right way and took great pride in his work, always giving his full effort in everything he undertook. Those who knew him respected his honesty, dedication, and the quiet strength he carried throughout his life.
A gifted and passionate artist, Hank found joy and expression through his art. He especially loved working with a simple No. 2 pencil, creating detailed pencil art that reflected both patience and precision. He also had a deep appreciation for Bunka Art, a craft he practiced with care and enthusiasm. Through his artwork, Hank left behind lasting pieces that will be treasured by family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved companion, Peggy Sue Dickson; his son, James Dickson (Ashley); his stepchildren, Alan Pratt and April Pratt; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward his memory and the lessons he instilled.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
Hank will be remembered for his steadfast spirit, his love of art, and his deep devotion to those he held dear.
Cotten Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to serve the Dickson family.
