Gray was a kind hearted man and never met a stranger. He was a true patriot and loved his God and Country. He loved John Wayne and watching sports, especially his UNC Tar heels. He worked for various grocery store chains including Piggly Wiggly, Food Lion and Harris-Teeter over the years, as well as exhibiting his craftsmanship with Hatteras Yachts, Handyman Plus and MasterBrand Cabinets.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Edwards; his son, Corey Edwards; wife, Lorie Edwards Landstrom; his parents, Henry and Faye Edwards; his sister, Amanda Edwards Kornegay (Louis); and two nephews, Hunter and Zachary. He was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Faye Edwards.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4th at the New Bern Church of God, followed by a funeral service at 12 Noon. The family will have a private burial ceremony. The family will be receiving friends at other times at the home of his sister, Amanda Kornegay.
