She is survived by her loving husband, of 48 years, Chuck Thompson; daughter Sherri L. Thompson; son Joseph C. Thompson; brother Buddy Thompson; and two grandchildren Dillon J. Thompson, and Drew C. Thompson.
Jacquelyn and Chuck moved to New Bern from Virginia Beach in 1991. She was a Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic and worked with CarolinaEast EMS as a paramedic for many years where she retired in 2001. In her spare time, she loved to crochet, knit, read, and spend time with her family.
The family will hold a celebration of Jacquelyn’s life on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 11am at Cotten Funeral Home. They will receive friends following the memorial service. Interment will be at a later date.
