He was a construction worker and had served in the US Navy Seals during the Vietnam War. He loved playing video games and had a "sweet tooth" that he always shared with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Sara McCoy (Richard McCoy, Sr.); sons, Benjamin "Benny" Toler, James Toler, Jr.; sister, Patsy Alfred, Sandra Nyberg, Darlene; brother, William Toler; 4 grandchildren, Richard, Jr., O'Rion, Cody and Autumn.
