Nita,
I often have memories of you and John especially the great times I had when I traveled from Cary to New Bern to attend dance class.  I appreciate you for sharing him so I could have an actual dance partner during the class--the best.

John was one of the best men I have ever know.  I am so proud to call him my Uncle.  I love him like a father and will miss him dearly.  Nita I am so sorry.

He will be sorely missed.  We enjoyed the many dances he taught us over the years.

I count it a blessing to have worked with John for 30 plus years at Maola.  Having known John had to make one's life better.  John was a wealth of knowledge and I will always remember the talks he and I had about things at work and life in general.  We will keep his family in our thoughts and prayers and I can only hope to see John after this life is over.

Mrs. Nita and family, I am so sad and sorry to hear about Mr. John! I knew him the seventeen years that I worked at Maola. He always had a ready smile whenever I saw and talked to him. I really thought a lot of him and respected him. He will definitely be missed. Our prayers are with you all.

We cannot express adequately our sadness that John will no longer be here with us.  We always prayed for you two to join again in the fun of dance that we all would share. Sadly, that was not meant to be, but we assure you that he is alive (and well!) in our hearts as we cherish years of delightful memories you two gave us. 

We also owe you two so much for the excellent dance instruction that allowed us to go afar and dance most of the dances and for your tireless service to the Rhythmic Rounds and Tryon Twirlers.  Whenever and wherever we danced, we ALWAYS thought of you and will continue to do so.

So sorry to hear. John was a very fine person and I know he will be missed dearly.

John was a very dear friend of mine.  He loved to dance and I know he is dancing in heaven right now.  I will miss you John.

We are sorry for the loss of a fine husband, father and "Granddaddy".  He will be missed by many.
