Joseph “JP” Perry Dixon, Sr., 83`, passed away on Friday, December 16,2016 at his home.
JP was a devoted father and grandad to his 2 grandsons, and lived all his life in Pamlico County. He was founder in 1961 of Dixon Heating and Air, in his semi-retirement years he loved traveling as well as fishing and hunting. Also JP was a veteran of the US Coast Guard, and a member of Rainbow Masonic Lodge in Arapahoe.
A private graveside service will be held at Greenleaf Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the home.
JP was preceded in death by his parents Noah Parson and Rebecca Dixon, 2 brothers Alvis and Coy Dixon. He is survived by his wife Barbara L. Dixon; 2 sons, Joseph Perry Dixon,Jr. (Bonnie) Kennels Beach ,and Christopher Thad Dixon of New Bern: daughter, Kimberly “Kim” Caroon( Dwight) of Reelsboro; 2
grandsons, Noah Zane Dixon Caroon and Micah Alexander Dixon Caroon.
