He was born May 20, 1940, in Coaldale, PA, a son of Joseph and Luba Sweetak Yurkovic.
He was a member of Hazle Masonic Lodge No. 327 in Hazleton, PA and served in the US Army 82nd Airborne during the Vietnam War. He was an avid Lionel model train collector and restorer.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Yurkovic; sons, Michael Yurkovic (Carol), grandson Jonathan Yurkovic; Brian Yurkovic (Pam); sister, Carole Sears (William); sister-in-law, Sandra Yurkovic and Mildred Yurkovic; sister-in-law Joyce (CW) Kelly; brother-in-law Wayne (Susan) Autrey and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Yurkovic and James Yurkovic.
A memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Cotten Funeral Home. Mask will be required.
