Kaye Broughton, 72, of Cool Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 21, 2017. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Kaye served our country with honor. She taught at New Bern High School and Craven Community College before her retirement in 2002. She was a member of Antioch F.W.B. Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday school for more than 17 years.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Nelson Broughton; son, Riley Justice; brother, Gary Llewellyn; and four grandchildren, Brooks Lowe, Jonathan Lowe, Hannah Justice and MacKenzie Justice. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carrie Johnson.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the memorial service.
