

Riverpoint Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness. Julian was born in Wilson, NC on October 9, 1954 to Dr. Julian Almond Spence and Jane Hines Spence.
Julian graduated from Craven Community College with degree of Associate in Applied Science, Business Administration, May 1977. He had a 30 year career as the Night Clerk and Bookkeeper at the Palace Motel in New Bern.
Julian loved airplanes and flying. He volunteered with and was the secretary of the Civil Air Patrol for many years.
Julian lived a life full of challenges, which he faced with a smile and when asked how he was doing or if there was anything he needed his answer was everything is fine. Julian was beloved by all his family and friends.
Julian is survived by his father, Rex Williams, sister Patricia Fisher (Mike), brother Warren Williams (Linda) all of New Bern and brother Danny Williams (Tina) of Boyd, WI. Julian is also survived by nieces Sara Jane Fisher Sherman, Betsy Fisher Crisafulli, Karen Fisher Stanton, Jenafer Williams, Melissa Williams White, Sadie Williams, Grace Williams, and nephews Daniel Williams, Josh Snyder and Jeff Snyder.
Julian is additionally survived by four great nieces and four great nephews.
Julian was predeceased by his parents, Dr. Julian A. Spence and Jane Hines Spence Williams.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday February 20, 2016 at Riverdale United Methodist Church, New Bern, NC. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Mike and Patricia Fisher. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Religious Community Services, PO Box 704, New Bern, NC 28562 or Merci Clinic, 1315 Tatum Drive, New Bern, NC 28560.
