Melissa Dawn Kee

Melissa is survived by her loving husband, Derrick, their three children, Elizabeth, 6, Charlotte, 3 and Benjamin 18 months, her father James Shelly and dear friend Dale Maxwell. She is predeceased by her mother, Lillian Shelly and her brother Brian Sabato. Melissa has an extended family of in-laws, aunts, uncles and more cousins than most, all of whom she loved dearly and kept in touch with regularly.

Melissa was a wonderful woman who brought joy to the people that knew her. She was a thoughtful and devoted wife, mother and daughter whose family meant everything to her. Melissa had a keen eye for design and décor and enjoyed making her home a comfortable, welcoming place to all. Even amidst all that was going on in her life, Melissa didn’t stop thinking about others, with thoughtful surprises arriving that recipients didn’t realize they needed until they had it! Melissa loved to laugh, and her sense of humor was epic. She shared joy and laughter everywhere she went, and her smile will be sorely missed.

Due to the global health crisis, funeral arrangements will be determined and communicated later.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Melissa's name to Dream Foundation, the organization that gifted Melissa’s family with a memory that wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for the foundation.
