Michael “Mike” Haines, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, proud Navy veteran, passionate golfer, and devout fan of the Carolina Tar Heels, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025, at the age of 65.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister, and is now reunited with them in peace. Beyond his love for family and golf, Michael was a lifelong devoted fan of the Carolina Tar Heels. He was affectionately called “Carolina Mike” by those who knew and loved him. Whether cheering from the stands or in front of the TV, he was always proud to wear Carolina blue.
