First got to know Mike during Hurricane Floyd recovery when we worked on another congregant's house. He worked like a mule while I struggled to keep up. I always looked forward to seeing him at church and discussing SEC football in general and Auburn in particular. A brother in The Lord Jesus who I'll miss terribly.

Hello, my name is Paul Comfort and I work at Intertek in Cortland NY.  Mike visited our facility annually (until the pandemic) for certification or verification testing of clothes washers and dryers.  We communicated regularly between visits.
I enjoyed my work with Mike for a number of reasons.  He was the consummate professional and was always prepared for our business dealings.  But, beyond that I enjoyed sharing our stories about family and faith which were both the most important parts of our lives.  It is quite refreshing to share a solid business relationship as well as a special personal relationship (especially where faith is concerned).  

Your family will remain in our prayers now and in the future.  I will miss Mike and I can only imagine how much you will miss him.  

Take good care until we will meet again one day in a special place.

My sincere condolence to your family for this tragic loss.  I had the honor to work with Mike at BSH.  His wealth of knowledge on product and overall home appliance industry is invaluable.  I will always remember him as someone with a positive and calm disposition.  I enjoyed working with Mike and getting to know him as he speaks fondly of his family.  He will be sorely missed. I was lucky enough to meet and start working with Mike in 2009 at the old Laundry factory. He would always go out his way to be helpful and kind no matter what the situation. I always enjoyed being around Mike, he gave off a very positive vibe. Prayers and condolences to the family. 

Mike was a kind person and a great professional. We feel really sad for the loss. Every one is. We will always remember Mike.

It was a pleasure for me to work with him - as I did for several washer UL project in the last years. I will ever remember his kindness and support.

I write on behalf of the staff at the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM).     We are very sorry for your loss and our heartfelt condolences to family.   Mike was such a nice and thoughtful person.   He often requested individual calls to us because he wanted to discuss how to get things accomplished.   His heart, thinking,  and desires were also in the right place and towards that of unity.    Mike's calm demeanor soothed many situations and his soft voice always spoke volumes.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Peebles Family and the BSH Family during this time.  Mike will be missed.

I was a fan of Mike’s the first time we talked.  I’m a sales guy for Bosch, and Mike was a direct link to getting to know anything and everything about Laundry.  He was always incredibly responsive and helpful and had a great way of simplifying complicated information.  But what I loved most about Mike, whether over the phone or in the few times we were together, was our talks about exercise and running specifically.   Those are cherished memories that will stay with me.  Rest In Peace, my colleague and friend.

I was so sad to hear this. I had the pleasure of working with Mike on several projects over the years. I always valued his professionalism and genuine passion for whatever he was working on, as well as when he would talk about his family. I pray for comfort and healing during this difficult time, and I offer my deepest condolences to his family.

Dear Mike,
when ever we've met, our farewells were never a big deal as we always had the confidence we'll see each other again.
"Friends for ever" as you called it.
This farewell feels unusual as it is the 1st time one-sided but there's still the confidence that for sure we'll meet again.
Until then my dearest friend our memories will bridge the time, will comfort me and will give me the strength to deal with the fact that no new common memories will be add.
Memories like we set up together with Jon the test lab in the new laundry factory, losing the tip-kick match vs Leon at my home, having with you, and your family thanks giving dinner at the Hessenallee, the paddle trip with friends an colleagues on the river Rhin on a late September Indian Summer Sunday north of Berlin, trying to explain to me together with Patrick the rules of baseball which ended in a hilarious desaster, our traditional Vienna Schnitzel dinner at the Austria restaurant and of course your wedding celebration with Diana in the quaint barn under pouring rain.
Please find a peaceful spot up there like you deserve it and lets keep friends for ever.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mike since 2013 when I joined B/S/H.  Mike was always a knowledgeable and trusted colleague that I could lean on for his immense technical knowledge of our laundry product.  He joined me on several sales calls as well as product trainings for our key customers.  Mike joined me for one of my last customer meetings in NYC right before the COVID shut downs and most recently in November he made another trip to NYC for some key customer meetings.  Mike will truly be missed by us all at B/S/H and my deepest sympathies go out to the Peebles family.

I had the honor of getting to know Mike better as I worked more closely with him in the Laundry team. He was someone who approached life with a smile and his kindness came through in everything he did. Always willing to help others, I admired also his patience when doing so. He will be sorely missed by his coworkers and those that knew him at BSH. I'm thankful for the time I was able to know him. My thoughts are with Mike and his family.

Mike was our Laundry Care Engineering Super Hero. He was with the company for almost 20 years. He knew everything about Laundry Care. Beside of his knowledge, his great personality will never be forgotten. He was patient and thought me many things in a year, when I had the opportunity to work with him. He was a very supportive and helpful colleague, maybe better to call A FRIEND. We had long term plans, too. It is so sad that everything happened so sudden. When I shared his illness and tragic result with some of colleagues, word has been spread and many people reach out. What I learned is, that Mike has a real second family in BSH. Not only in New Bern, but in Irvine, Knoxville, New York City, Atlanta, Dallas, Berlin, Lodz, Nauen, Munich, Toronto…  THANK YOU MIKE FOR BEING SO GREAT!!! WE CELEBERATE THE LIFE OF MIKE…

I wish to express my sincere condolences. I was shocked when I had to learn that Mike passed away. With Mike we lose a colleague who was always helpful and provided his well appreciated support whenever we asked him.
I very well remember the good times we had when he visited us in Munich.

Mike and I first met in 2015 when I was part of Laundry for RNA. Later that year, we took our first trip to Berlin to meet the rest of the Laundry Family. Mike was always very helpful and supportive. He took his role with pride and was never afraid to support a lending hand. He was like a mentor to me. I learned so much from him for the next four years. We traveled to Berlin together several times and traveling with him was always a great learning experience. The highlight of our relationship and my professional career was when we sold over 100K units in RNA. I know we could not have met this goal without Mike’s help. He was a key member and important part of Laundry for RNA. 
My dearest condolences to Diana and the rest of the Family. Mike, you will missed by the entire BSH family.

Mike was a very valued colleague. The communication was always informal, very constructive and goal-oriented. I liked his typically American manner and it was always a pleasure to talk to Mike. I knew Mike since ~2004 when we were involved in a project which developed a super sized clothes washing machine for the US market.
We had a close cooperation, and I liked him very much.
He was such a pleasant person, enriching the WW68 team: Gundula, Jon, Seka, Elke and others.
We always met during my business trips to New Bern and his to Berlin.

I received this news that he passed away, sent by Seka from BSH / New Bern just yesterday evening.
I feel really saddened and hereby, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family.
