Mike is survived by his son, Mikey Bland (Dana) of Pollocksville; siblings, Marshall Bland of Ft. Barnwell, Nadine Rhodes (Cecil) of Vanceboro, and Hank Bland of Ft. Barnwell; sister-in-law, Linda Bland of Ft. Barnwell; nieces and nephews, Andy Bland (Mitzi) of Ft. Barnwell, Ashley Mills (Duke) of Vanceboro, Nicole Bland of Chocowinity, and Matthew Bland of Ft. Barnwell; and four great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Clinton Lee "Clint" Bland and his parents, Henry and Fleta Bland.
A private graveside service will be held at the Wintergreen O.F.W.B. Church Cemetery at a later date.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of LifeCare in Rocky Mount and Grantsbrook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Alliance for their compassionate care given to Mike during his illness.
