She was born in 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA. She married Leonard Phillips in July 1950 and they were married for 49 years before his death in 1999.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, and son, Robert Phillips.
She is survived by her son, Leonard Phillips, of Havelock; daughter, Luann McGuinness and husband Michael, of Havelock; grandchildren Nicole McGuinness of Raleigh and Tyler McGuinness of Emerald Isle.
She will be buried next to her husband, Leonard, at Prince of Peace Parish Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA. A memorial mass will be held Tuesday, October 14th at 4 p.m. at Annunciation Catholic Parish in Havelock. Reception following in church hall.
