She was the owner of Heath’s Nursery and a member of Bethany Christian Church. She will best be remembered by her many friends because of her generosity with flowers.
Olive is survived by her son, Harvey “Cricket” Winford Heath, Jr. of Raleigh; daughter, Linda Heath Bassetti of Thomasville; two sisters, Grace Powers Ragan and Erma Powers both of New Bern; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Cotten Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Cotten Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Christian Church, 3475 NC Hwy 55 West, New Bern, NC 28562.
