

Paul was a Green Bay Packers fan, an avid outdoorsman especially loving hunting and fishing, a craftsman carpenter and builder, and was an adventurer. Paul could build anything and fix everything. He has built homes and custom staircases in places as far away as Alaska and Greece. He built cars and was known for his “rat rod”. He loved to bake especially cakes for his friends. He was known for his wit and dry humor. He was a man who loved his family, was so proud of his children and was a very good husband to Michele.
He is preceded in death by his father L.E. “Wormy” Nelson.
He is survived by his wife Michele Nelson; his mother Fern Nelson of Sarasota, FL; sons Joe Nelson of Santa Rosa, CA and Jon Nelson of Johnson Creek, WI; daughter Bryna Nelson of Madison, WI; brothers Todd Nelson and wife Sharon of Waupaca, WI, Dan Nelson and wife Cathy of Paradise, CA, Kip Nelson of Kewaskum, WI, Tom Nelson and wife Diane of Shingle Springs, CA; one granddaughter “Cassidy”; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend Kathy Knapp.
Memorial service will be 6:00 pm Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
