Ray "Pete" Huntzberry

RIVER BEND --- Ray Woodrow Huntzberry, Jr., known to most as “Pete,” passed away on Monday, January 9th at the age of 69. He will be remembered for his passion for woodworking, fishing (but not always catching), boating, and love of nature and sense of humor. He had a large circle of friends that he cherished and enjoyed. He was truly in love with his wife and loved being with his children, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his adopted cat, Mona.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Emma Jane Huntzberry; three children (and spouses), Lisa Huntzberry, Pete “Ray” Huntzberry (Christy), and Dixie Huntzberry Koons; stepdaughter, Cheryl Oliver (John); two brothers, Paul Huntzberry and Larry Huntzberry; five grandchildren, Chrystal Hawkins, Marisa Stambro (David), Dennis Hawkins (Natalie), Rebekah Koons, and Dakota Ibarra; great grandchildren, Jasmine, Gloria, and Payton Deegan, Ayrianna and Christopher Stambro; as well as his former spouse and the mother of his children, Dolly Stafford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray W. Huntzberry, Sr. and Thelma I. Huntzberry; brothers, Meredith Huntzberry and David Huntzberry.
