He retired from Fortune Brands, Inc. He was their Corporate Director of Long Term Finance, Secretary of The Capital Appropriations Committee and an alternate member of the board.
He is preceded in death by his parents Frederick Truman and Lillian Peterson Churchill.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Jean Churchill; son William Churchill and wife Michelle of Piedmont, SC; daughters Debra Goodman Jones of Goldsboro, NC and Lynn Ann Avis and husband Stephen of Clifton Park, NY; grandchildren Michael Goodman of Greenville, NC, Matthew Goodman and Christopher Jones of Goldsboro, NC and Amanda Avis of Clifton Park, NY.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
