Carolyn, we just found out that Bob and Stella had passed away. Words cant 
express how we felt about them. I am sure you know how we felt about them
and what a great influence on our lives they were. Heaven is now a better place for having them. We will always cherish the time we spent with them.

When my Dad took me to Bob Clarks it was very special. I would have a soda and played with his bird. Thanks Mr. Clark.

We were out of town when your Dad died and we just found out on the 29th of June. When the bank moved me to Havelock 43 years ago, your Dad was one of the first people I met there. He has been a good friend to me all these years. I have visited him in his store thousands of times and it was always a pleasure. And one of my favorite things was his pimento-cheese sandwiches. He made them for me many many, times. I will always miss Bob and Stella and also Steve Clark for the rest of my life.

Gail, I'm sorry to hear about the loss of Bob Clark and Steve. I have many fond memories of working at Bob Clark's in 1994-95. The Clark family made me feel like I was part of the family. May God give you comfort and peace at this difficult time.

I appreciate you recently allowing me to speak to your dad, and he even invited me to come see you all.  I will always remember being his neighbor & the kindness he & your mom extended to our family even after 50 years.  I even remember visiting his drug store and he giving me a stuffed alligator.

Carolyn and Barry - So sorry to hear of your Father's passing, but he is now back with his partner - so I know you feel good about that.    I always loved to hear Margaret talk about her Mom and Dad - "when ya'll were growing up". Looking at the pictures I see you and Margaret in his caring eyes.

He was a friend to all and one of the first people I met in 1960 when I moved to Havelock.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Carolyn, you and i met a couple of years ago, when we were both with people we love, who were on the oncology floor of the hospital.   know that i'm holding you in my heart as you miss and celebrate your dad.   both of your parents taught me important life lessons.among  MANY other things ~ your mom taught me how to make chicken salad (for 20 :)) and your dad taught me that work could still be fun - even if it was work.    they both leave huge ripples and have changed many lives for the better.

I agree with my sister, Jo.  Bob Clark WAS Havelock.  I taught music in the elementary schools back in the late 60's and early 70's........and the store was a one of my favorite places to roam......and eat.   It was so neat to browse (they had everything in that store), chat with Mr. Clark, and eat at the counter.  :-)   Great times back then.   Altho I haven't seen him for many years, I am saddened by his loss.    I don't think he ever met a stranger.

Bob Clark WAS Havelock. That store carried everything, and it was such fun to browse through! If you ate at the Italian Chef, you had to go to Bob Clark's afterward, that's all there was to it. I remember when he was showing my sister and I his new microwave oven. It was the first one we'd ever seen; huge, kinda scary, and I thought, 'hmmm, that thing will never fly.' But it sure did, and Mr. Clark had the smarts to know this. I miss the store, seeing Mr. and Mrs. Clark in there, but thankful for the memories. He was one of a kind. Very sorry for your loss, Carolyn, Gail, Taylor, Morgan....

My mom, Mollie Davis, worked for your family for about 10 years at the store. My sister and I both worked at the soda and candy counter through high school. Many great memories. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Anyone that grew up in Havelock knew Mr. Clark.  I remember when Janice Goodwin and I were in the 7th grade we went to see if Mr. Clark would give us a job.  He was very kind and told us to come back in a few years.  Whenever my husband and I would come back to Havelock we would always go by the store to see him. Bob was an amazing man that was a cornerstone of life in Havelock. The store was a local hangout where stories and laughter were exchanged there every day over chicken salad and milkshakes.  He knew everybody's name, their children's names and most if their life story.  I will never forget all he did for us. May he rest in peace knowing he was well loved by so many.

We all hold such precious memories of Mr. and Mrs. Clark.  Their store was an institution within itself.  Mr. and Mrs. Clark helped many families within the town of Havelock and surrounding areas.  Their thoughtfulness and kind deeds will remain forever in our hearts.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Clark Family.  Mr. & Mrs. Clark were truly awesome people!  Our entire family loved the Clarks.  What a fine man Mr. Bob Clark was.  He was such a huge part of the Havelock community and will be greatly missed. We all have such fond memories of the Clarks as well as Bob Clark's Pharmacy and snack bar. Mr. Clark would speak to anyone of any age who visited that store.  God rest his soul!

My sympathies to Mr. Clark's family. He lived a long, full life and, as you know, was a town institution since we were all so young. May his memories comfort you.

So sorry to learn of the passing of Mr. Clark.  He was definitely an Icon for the town of Havelock for so many years.  May he rest in peace.
