Robert Charles Erickson Jr.

Robert (Eric) C. Erickson Jr. , 77 of New Bern, North Carolina passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

Eric was born August 19, 1947 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to Robert C. and Shirley J. Erickson. He graduated from Boiling Springs High School in 1965 and furthered his education at San Mateo College in San Mateo, California.

Eric is survived by his wife of 30 years, Nancy Erickson and three (3) children, Robert C. Erickson III (Carol) of Boyce, Virginia, Brita Adams (Shawn Cline) of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania and Justin Erickson (Heather) of New Bern, North Carolina. He is also survived by the children’s mother, Sandra (George Robbins)Kimmel of Elgin, South Carolina.

Eric was a proud grandad and grandad the great! He leaves behind grandchildren Alyson, Ian, James (Shannon), Keighly, Dane, Tucker and Marcus and great grandchildren Colton, Cash and Owen to continue his family legacy. Eric will be missed by his sister, Jackie Culp of Bothell, Washington, sister in law, Janet Lair and brother in law Mark Lair of North Port, Florida as well as several nephews and a niece.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents, his dear sister Sandy, brother in law Don and precious grandson Trevor.

A funeral service to honor Eric’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Cotten Funeral Home, New Bern, NC. with Pastor Darryl Radford, Temple Church officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle, Pennsylvania with a Celebration of Life to follow at Allenberry Resort, Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania.
