Col. Robert “Bob” E. Gruenler (USMC Ret.), 89, of New Bern, died on Thursday, December 15, 2016.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Greenleaf Memorial Park with military honors.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joan Gruenler of New Bern; daughter, Sharon Priest of Moyock, NC; two grandsons, Sean and Kevin Priest; seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
