Rose Cassaro

Rose Locascio Cassaro, 93, of New Bern, passed away on Tuesday, February 20th, 2018. Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1924, Rose spent most of her life on Long Island where she was a longtime employee of Abraham & Strauss. In 2004, she moved to Pittsburgh, Penn. where she resided until 2008 when she followed her daughter to New Bern and lived at McCarthy Court.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic and her daughter, Alice Linden.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Ziegler (Paul); her grandchildren, Paul Ziegler (Renee) of Colorado, Daniel Ziegler (Dawn) of Ohio, Michael Ziegler (Kathleen) of South Carolina, Jamie Linden (Leigh) of California and Allison Rodgers (Jeff) currently of Rwanda; her great grandchildren, Luke, Emma, Gabriel, Cassy, Tyson, Joseph, Sophia, Dominic, Lincoln and Cate; and her nephew, Gerard Locascio.

A Mass will be held at 8:00 a.m. on May 25, 2018 at St. Mark Catholic Church in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. A second Mass and Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 17th, 2018 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Havelock, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Crystal Coast Hospice House, 100 Big Rock Weigh, Newport, NC 28570.
