He is survived by his parents, Donnie Hill and Rita Hatley, both of New Bern; sisters, Donna Elliott of New Bern and April McClellan of New Bern; brother, Christopher Turner of New Bern; nephews, Timothy, Brandon and Connor McClellan, Michael Turner, and Greyson Elliott; and nieces, Kenzie Elliott, Marissa, Stormey and Christina Turner, and Brittany Peterson. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Turner.
The family will have a memorial at a later date to remember and celebrate Sammy's life.
