Tembra Anne Horrell Bennett

A native of Western Pennsylvania, she lived in New Bern, North Carolina since 1972.

She is survived by her husband Roger; son Chris (Beth) Bennett of New Bern; daughter Michelle (Alice) Bennett of Roanoke, VA; brothers Luther, John, David and their families of Ligonier, PA; and her granddaughter Olivia of New Bern.

Tembra will be missed by friends and students in New Bern where she taught art in the Craven County School System until her retirement in 2001. She was both an artist and art collector who traveled with her husband to the cities and museums of Europe to see the masterpieces in person.

A Celebration of Life will be on Monday, December 8 at 2:00 pm at Bethany Christian Church in Arapahoe, NC. Family will receive friends and family on Saturday, December 6 from 6 to 8 pm at Cotten Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crystal Coast Hospice House, 100 Big Rock Weigh, Newport, NC 28557 or Bethany Christian Church, 8126 N. Carolina 306, Arapahoe, NC 28510.
