Theophilus Wilson Parker Sr.

Wilson was born March 22, 1929. He served in the U. S. Navy. He had a lifelong

career in law enforcement and worked for the Craven County Sheriff’s Department,

New Bern Police Department and Department of Motor Vehicles. He was a past member of the Scottish Rite and Berne Masonic Lodge. He was a faithful member of Sherwood Forest Freewill Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Nina Efird Parker. Also preceding him in death: his parents Linder Estelle Parker and Wilbur Chapman Parker, his brothers Aubrey Parker and Rev. Joseph Parker. He is survived by his sons, T.W. Parker, Jr. and wife, Lori, Johnny Parker and wife, Brenda; his daughters Ruth Millar and husband Randy, Kim Daugherty and husband, Dewey; grandchildren, Trey Parker, Kelly Gardner, Parker Millar, Matthew Parker, Hannah Olson, Holly Millar, Misty Konkrasang and Mindy Rouse; great grandchildren, Claire and Weston Gardner, Coulby McQuery; brothers, Franklin Parker, Hodges Parker and Amos Parker; sister, Linda Bennett.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, November 20, 2015 at Cotten Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Sherwood Forest FWB Church. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
