

Valee Joan (Lee) Bradford, 91, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children on Sunday September 26, 2021. Lee was born on April 6, 1930 in Lake Park, Iowa to Andrew Snow and Minnie Bunjer Snow.
Lee started out as an early education teacher but spent most of her years raising her family. She had a strong faith in the Lord and had attended Two Rivers Christian Church and Broadcreek Christian Church. She was a devoted wife, a caring mother and a doting grandmother. Lee led a very active lifestyle and enjoyed traveling, biking, gardening, painting, and reading. She volunteered at her church, in missions, with Habitat for Humanity, at the Epic Center in New Bern and even overseas with TCM.
Lee is survived by her daughter Debbie Allen and her husband Henry, daughter Peggy Smith, son Ted Bradford, and son-in-law Shawn Turk and his wife Jackie. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard, daughter Rebecca Turk and son-in-law Benny Smith. She is also survived by grandchildren Don Allen, Barbie Busch, Cindy Gillespie (Jason), Katie Hunsucker (Lennie), Sarah Villanueva (Brandon), Becky Morgan (Joe), Jeremy Turk, Chris Smith (Ashley), Matt Bratton (Veronica), Andy Smith (Erin), Carey Rodvold (Shaun), Jon Bratton, 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kent Lucas, Craven County Hospice, and 3HC Hospice for their care over the past few years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eastern Pregnancy Information Center (the Epic Center).
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Cotten Funeral Home at 11am. She will be laid to rest with her husband on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 2 pm in Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
