He is survived by his step-son Ricky Banks; brothers Melvin J. Martin of New Bern and Bobby R. Martin of Washington, NC; sisters Melinda M. Reynolds of New Bern, Marie Martin of New Bern, and Elizabeth Martha Hiatt of Pamlico, NC: special niece Melinda Cheryl Hiatt; his aid Carol Wallace; and his dog Katie Mae.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, July 24, 2015 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Bridgeton Cemetery.
