He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Pamela.
William is survived by his wife Ashley, Sister Patricia of Virginia, Nephews Michael and Jonathan, brother, Thomas, sister-in-law Tania of Swansboro, nephew, Bryant and nieces Ashten, and Mercedes.
William was born in Seoul Korea. He spent 18 years serving his country faithfully in the Army and the NC National Guard. He served three deployments, in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom. Beyond his military service, Will enjoyed the outdoors, surfing, cooking, and video games. William was always full of life, He always seemed to have a smile on his face and he had the ability to make you smile and laugh no matter how you felt or what was going on around you at the time.
A memorial service will be held at Cotten Funeral Home on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 2:00pm. A private burial will be in Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope for the Warriors at https://www.hopeforthewarriors.org/
