He is formerly of Hurricane, W.Va. He retired from Union Carbide in South Charleston, W.Va.
He is survived by four daughters: Beverly Edwards of New Bern, N.C.; Jean White of New Bern, N.C.; Barbara Bunting of Knoxville, Tenn.; and Frances Sullivan of Scott Depot, W.Va; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at Chapman Funeral Home in Hurricane, W.Va. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 at The Chapel of the Guardian Angel with burial following in Valley View Memorial Park.
