Albert Rodriguez

Albert Rodriguez, 79, of San Antonio, entered into eternal life on Sunday, March 29, 2026. Born and raised in San Antonio, TX, Albert graduated from Burbank High School, class of 1964. Two years later he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served as an Air Police K9 handler, training Sentry dogs. While serving overseas at USAF Bentwaters, UK, Albert met and married his wife of 11 years, Elaine. During their marriage, they had two children, Richard and Kimberly. Shortly after receiving his honorable discharge and for the next fifty-plus years, Albert followed in his father’s footsteps and honed his skills as a barber throughout San Antonio and the surrounding area. He was always prepared with his tools and jokes unending! And if you had a health ailment, dad had a cure! He loved learning about natural health remedies and sharing his findings with friends and family. Consistency and hard work were traits that followed dad throughout his life. When dad wasn’t cutting hair, he enjoyed a good game of pool or darts. In his younger years, dad could be found on the basketball court with friends. Albert was preceded in death by his mother, Stella O’lague; his father, Manuel A. Rodriguez; and his wife of 30 years, Kimberly Lois Ricketts. He is survived by his loving wife, Becky; his son, Richard (Stephanie); daughter, Kimberly (Stanley); his brothers, Richard Rodriguez and family, Henry A. O’lague and family; 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130, on April 23, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Reception at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130, on April 23, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm.

A Committal Service with Air Force Honors will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter #3, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78209, on April 23, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
